The Legacy Foundation Celebrates 25 Years Serving Lake County

For 25 years, the Legacy Foundation has been committed to Lake County. Like all successful partnerships, this one calls for a celebration of equal merit!

On May 4th, the Legacy Foundation will celebrate its 25th birthday by honoring its dedication to Lake County. The public celebration will bring community members and organizations together for a night of recognition, good food, and local entertainment. The event will be held at the Marquette Park Pavilion in Gary, and is set to begin at 6:00pm with cocktails, followed by dinner, and performances by the South Shore Dance Alliance and the Together Music Band.

The celebration is not just about the Legacy Foundation; it’s about Lake County as a whole. It is about recognizing and thanking the volunteers, organizations, and donors that have been putting in the time to improve and stimulate the growth of their neighborhoods and communities.

The work of the Legacy Foundation would not be possible without others’ involvement and dedication. Together, the Legacy Foundation and its partners have established $55 million in charitable assets and have distributed $44 million dollars to community programs and deserving citizens over the last quarter century.

From programs like On the Table and Neighborhood Spotlight to grant and scholarship opportunities for local students and individuals in need, the Legacy Foundation has had an impact that stretches far and wide. This event will celebrate those many successes and prompt all of those involved to make the next 25 years even more successful.
