The Chesterton High School Junior/Senior Prom, “Red Carpet Premiere”

2014-CHS-Prom-Candidates-2“An outstanding group of candidates have been chosen as the 2014 CHS Prom royalty contestants. Three seniors were nominated for king and queen and three juniors for prince and princess.

The three students nominated for queen are Claire Brady, J.J. Lee and Emily Percifield; and princesses are Carley Lowe, Shelby Snyder and Bethany Van Drie.

Brady is the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Brady. She is active in track and soccer.

Lee, daughter of Sangyoung and Esther Lee, is enjoys tennis, running, snowboarding, skiing and is active in Student Council.

Peercifield, daughter of Arleen Skratsky and Jim Percifield, is active in Speech and Debate, and enjoys volunteering and traveling.

Lowe, daughter of Robin and Roberto Martinez and Bob Billick, is active theatre, speech, art and enjoys helping others.

Snyder, daughter of John and Barb Snyder, is active in Theatre, National Honor Society, French club and Choir. She enjoys traveling, baking and singing.

Van Drie, daughter of Jeff and Katherine Van Drie, is active in swimming, student council and Spanish club.

The three students nominated for king are Bradley Adkins, Danny Vincent and Mitchell Winey; and prince are Bobby Maletta, Patrick Tilden and Mike Vasconi.

Adkins, son Dave and Beth Adkins, is enjoys guitar, photography, running and music.

Vincent, son of James and Lori Vincent, is active in Speech and Debate and is editor of the arts and entertainment for the Sandscript. He enjoys acting and movies.

Winey, son of Tim and Margo Winey, is active in soccer and Student Council. He enjoys skiing and hiking.

Maletta, son of Bob and Diane Maletta, is active in Speech, National Honor Society, band, orchestra, jazz band and track. He is a member of the NWI Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Tilden, son Paul and Mary Ellen Tilden, is active in baseball, basketball, National Honor Society and Japanese club.

Vasconi, son of Lou and Ann Vasconi, is active in golf, football, National Honor Society and enjoys lifting heavy weights.

Red Carpet Premiere,” will be hosted at the Orak Shrine in Michigan City, IN on Saturday, May 3. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with check-in from 6-7 p.m. Doors close promptly at 7 p.m. with dinner from 7-8 p.m. Dancing is from 8-11 p.m. The Grand March will be held at Chesterton Middle School Goldsborough Gym at approximately 4:30 p.m. Doors will open for parents at 3:30 p.m. Parents are asked to use the south parking lots and enter the south Goldsborough Gym Entrance #20. Morgan Avenue is reserved for student parking only.
