The 4th Street Theater will present “Amahl and the Night Visitors” from Nov. 14 through Nov. 30.
Written by Gian-Carlo Menotti, “Amahl” is an opera, performed in English, that premiered on television in 1951 and is now a holiday tradition in theaters across the country during the Christmas season.

The 4th Street production is directed by Linda Pauli with musical direction by Joyce Harris and choreography by Katrina Rusin. The set is designed by Kevin Doler, Angela Heid is the lighting designer and Stanlee Hodsden designed the costumes.
The cast includes: Luke Bouman, Laura Blythe, Adrien Brizzolara, Matthew Byerly, Suzanne Chomel, Margie Calhoun, Robert Dure, William Frost, Ric Heath, Carolyn Herr, Jacob Hibbard, Larry Hinken, Lyric Hugunin and Rob Hunt.
Corinne Lysaught, Megan Newcomb, Michelle Newcomb, Jay Ramirez, Stephanie Shelton are also featured.
One of the most popular operas of all time, “Amahl and the Night Visitors” tells the story of how a crippled, young shepherd boy’s life changes forever when he sees an amazing star “as big as a window.”
