The Annual Taste of East Chicago will be held at Veteran’s Park, 145th Street and Indianapolis Boulevard on August 16th, 17th, and 18th. The event begins at 12 pm each day and concludes at 11 pm each night.
Aromas of excellent food and sounds of great music help make this event a success as residents and visitors come from near and far to be a part of such a festive event.
The Taste also features a wonderful car show on the 17th and motorcycle show on the 18th, with prizes to the winners. You can register your vehicle up to one hour before the judging.
Friday there will be a talent show, AZ-1 Band and New Orleans Beau. Saturday will feature Los Cordobas and Mystic Fire bands. Sunday will feature Carlos Ramos Band and Mannix Martinez.
Bands start at 6pm every night and there will music during the day by Dj Joweto. For the kid in you, take a ride with Sterling Crown Carnival. There is plenty of fun and entertainment for all.
