Tara Beere Named Homecoming Queen at Kankakee Valley High School

One of the biggest and most anticipated events of any school year is the announcement of the Homecoming court, specifically which girl is going to win the coveted Homecoming Queen title. In 2014 at Kankakee Valley High School, that distinction went to senior Tara Beere.

"I was honestly just hoping to be on the homecoming court this year," Beere said. "I never would have thought I would have been walking off the track as homecoming queen. I was kind of in shock when I won because I was just so excited that my name was called and I couldn't believe it actually happened. It was a great way to start off my senior year!"

Beere was selected among the court that included sophomore Junelle Roy, freshman Madison Fisher, junior Klara Hausenfleck and seniors Monica Sprouse, Kayla Gustafson and Corine Rauscher.

Alongside Beere during halftime of the Kougars' 35-10 Homecoming win over the Griffith Panthers was Kyle Patton, who was named Homecoming King.

Congrats to both the team on their win on the field and Beere and Patton on their homecoming court win!
