Taft Middle School students learned about advocacy in their health classes and decided to put their learning to the test. We chose to be advocates for heart health, benefiting the American Heart Association. The students learned about how to keep their heart healthy by exercising regularly, avoiding sugary drinks and having a balanced diet.
They also did an incredible job in raising funds reaching $14,926! This was well over the goal we had set to raise at $10,000. What we have raised currently puts us as #1 in the state! We are so proud of our Taft students for all of their hard work and dedication to the American Heart Association!
