Your previous support of the Urban League is a testament to your personal connection to the struggle for civil rights, equal access to education and gainful employment for all Americans. Because of support from friends like you, your local Urban League has been able to accomplish milestones for the citizens of Lake, Porter and La Porte Counties that include:
- Offered $1.3 million in scholarships to high school seniors at the 2013 Scholarship Fair
- Aided over 750 low income and senior citizens over the past two years in their income tax preparation, through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program
- Young Professionals group donated $1,350 in personal care items in Lake, Porter, and La Porte Counties
