Sullair of Michigan City was recognized as a Company of the Year at the Indiana Association of United Ways State Leaders Conference on March 7 in Carmel, Ind.
Sullair is a leading financial contributor, major event sponsor and source of volunteers for United Way of LaPorte County. The corporation is designated as a Cornerstone Business for the local United Way. Henry Brooks, Sullair president, serves on its Board of Directors.
“Sullair is committed to supporting United Way of LaPorte County in its efforts to advance the vitality of our community,” Brooks said. “We are proud of our employees for the leadership role they play on behalf of United Way.” Accepting the award at the state United Way conference were Sullair employees: David Rademacher, Matt Cook and Keith Herr.
Also at the IaUW State Leaders Conference, Wade Breitzke, president of the multimedia company 27 Entertainment in Valparaiso, received the First Place Award in the Metro III-V category for producing the United Way of LaPorte County’s 2012 Campaign DVD. Breitzke was among the top award winners in the 15th Annual Golden Excellence in Media Contest announced at the March 7 event.
Kris Pate, executive director of United Way of LaPorte County, said her organization is delighted that the two area businesses received the prestigious awards in recognition of their good work.
