Stanford University Acknowledges Munster High School Science Teacher

Munster-Science-Oly-Champ-15-01Munster High School science teacher, Mr. Keith Koszut, received a special honor through the Teacher Tribute Initiative at Stanford University. The Teacher Tribute Initiative recognizes that their students have had the support, guidance and friendship of teacher and mentors who helped prepare them for college.

Past student, Taylor Merkel, selected Mr. Keith Koszut for as a former teacher who played a significant role in their intellectual, academic, social and personal development. Merkel wrote, “His genuine care for every student makes him the best teacher and mentor I have ever known.”

Koszut states, “Since Taylor was a 6th grader, she went on to serve on five years’ worth of Munster Science Olympiad teams, including being a member of three state champion teams, a 6th place in the nation team, and serving as a team captain in her senior year! All the credit, I assure you, is to her.”

Koszut received a certificate recognizing the meaningful impact he has on the lives and education of students at Munster High School.
