St. Mary’s Grade School Graduates Receive Top High School Honors

St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point always sees their graduates go on to great success in high school.  The school offers preschool through grade eight.  St. Mary’s students come from as far away as Hammond to the north and Demotte to the south and as far as Valparaiso to the east and Crete Illinois to the west to attend the school.  This year, St. Mary’s graduates took top honors at three respective high schools.  JJ Wadas was named Valedictorian at Andrean High School, Blake Lopez was named Valedictorian at Mt. Carmel High School, and Lukas Denney received the highest academic honor that is awarded at Crown Point High School; Summa Cum Laude.  “I’m very proud of these young men and all of their classmates.  St. Mary’s students are not only extremely hard workers, thanks to the rigor provided by our teachers, but they also develop a moral compass that we hope will serve them well throughout their lives,” said principal Tom Ruiz.

St. Mary’s in Crown Point is currently accepting applications for new students for the 2020-2021 school year.  Those interested can find more information on the school’s website at stmarycp.org/school.
