St. Mary’s Students Enjoy 2016 Wellness Fair

St-Marys-Health-Fair-2016St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point held it's annual Wellness Fair on Wednesday, March 16th. There were stations containing health information and education throughout the gym. Age appropriate presentations, ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade, were shared by volunteers. A wide range of topics was covered that included taking care of one’s body, the environment, & even rescue strategies. Presenters included Distinctive Dental Solutions – Dr. Brett Bologna and staff, Dr. Kauffman and staff, TREK Bicycles, Fleet Feet, Aqua Tots, and Taltree Arboretum. "We're blessed to have a school nurse (Patti Miskus, RN) who values health education and great folks in the community who are willing to share their expertise with our students," said St. Mary's principal, Tom Ruiz.

St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point has been educating children in the Roman Catholic tradition since 1872. The school offers grade levels Pre-Kindergarten through eight. St. Mary’s faculty teaches a rich curriculum supported by cutting-edge technology. The school is a recipient of the state of Indiana’s highest accolades, including an “A” grade and Four-Star status.
