St-Marys-Parish-Shows-Appreciation-for-School-Teachers-with-9th-Annual-Walk-a-ThonOn the beautiful sunny and WARM morning of Friday, September 22nd, over 500 students at St. Mary Catholic Community School showed their appreciation for their teachers by participating in the school’s ninth annual Teacher Appreciation Walk-a-thon. The walk-a-thon was organized by St. Mary’s Parish Council and Finance Council representatives, Lowell Killion and Penny Pappas.

The route stretched as far east as Indiana Avenue, to Crown Point’s historic square, and as far south as Greenwood Avenue. The school is thankful to all the parents, parishioners, and community members who supported the walk-a-thon. A special THANK YOU goes to Faith Formation coordinator, Mrs. Marian Weeks, who cooked for the entire student body along with all her helpers from the parish Faith Formation program.
