The students played educational games teaching them about camouflage and teamwork with Dunes naturalists. They took a nature walk and learned about different plants, trees, and leaves. They even learned about invasive species such as vines.

After the walk, students were treated to a campfire with s’mores and songs. The students all agreed they had a great time, learned some new things, and gained an appreciation of the environment. "Our hope is that this generation gains a true appreciation of nature and becomes good stewards of the earth," said one of the club sponsors, Mrs. Kim Hise.
