ST. MARY MEDICAL CENTER ANNOUNCES  EXCELLENCE IN NURSING AWARD WINNERS

HOBART – St. Mary Medical Center administration and staff recently have announced the top performing caregivers during National Nurses Week. The 2019 Nursing Pillar Awards highlight nurses who go above and beyond every day for their patients in five categories: Service, Quality, Finance, Growth and People, and a Super Star for all categories combined. 

“These nurses depict strength in key areas at St. Mary Medical Center and represent just a few examples of the healthcare professionals who practice the compassionate art of healing here on a daily basis,” said Julianne Williams, Vice President Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, St. Mary Medical Center. “The nominations are a way for nurse peers to recognize the outstanding attributes of their co-workers. We’re proud to have them all as a part of our team.”

The 2019 Nursing Pillar awards have been presented to Mary Mulligan, Service; Courtney Marion, People; Katie Hamer, Growth; David Acosta, Quality, and Angela Pigg, Finance. Chosen overall as the SUPERSTAR for going above and beyond in all pillar areas, is Kelli Hale, nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. In addition, Vince Fabugais, nurse on 3 East, was chosen to receive the IMPACT Award for providing outstanding patient care.

The pillar and IMPACT awards showcase a group of nurses who work tirelessly to improve the lives of others.”
