The Giving Games are coming September 22nd! This year is sure to test the limits! The 2018 Giving Games will be hosted at Edge Adventure Park in Merrillville (in the same parking lot as Deep River Water Park) and will utilize the aerial park’s zip lines, rope bridges, and obstacle courses for a challenge that’s sure to test even the most active of participants.
The Giving Games aren’t just about testing your strength and coordination, though. The Giving Games are also about raising money for local charities which rely on public support to continue their programs. This year, one of the fundraiser’s recipients is St. Jude House in Crown Point. Why? Because domestic violence is not OK!
St. Jude House strives to provide compassionate and empowering services to those who have experienced domestic violence. Through their shelter, 24-hour hotline, support, and advocacy programs, St. Jude House is working to turn hurt into hope, change victims to survivors and break the cycle of violence for these families. These services are very much needed in Northwest Indiana.
For just $40 per person, anyone can help them out! Every person that signs up gives $5 to St. Jude House—sign up by or before September 12 and receive a free T-shirt. Everyone will have a FUN adventure.
Participants can sign up as individuals or as a group and ask for family and friends to support them throughout this challenge.
By taking part in the Giving Games, everyone is providing an opportunity for someone to break the cycle of violence. Additionally, anyone who raises $200 or more for St. Jude House will receive a swag bag full of amazing items and coupons! St. Jude House will also have a booth at the event where additional information about them and their mission will be available.
