Sprint Says “Thank You” to Customers with Appreciation Day Deals

In today’s highly competitive cell phone market, Sprint looks to race ahead of the pack. On Saturday, the Merrillville Sprint location took some time to reflect on its appreciation for its loyal customers.

Sprint offered doorbuster deals on accessories, cases and other items in the store. It gave additional credits to both new and returning customers. District Manager Carlo Gurrola said that there has never been a better time to join Sprint.

“It’s great because we have the 50 Percent Rate plan,” he said. “We are slashing the rates from any other major carriers by 50 percent, and that’s a good deal.”

Gurrola said that he feels Sprint can differentiate itself from the market’s fierce competition.

“As far as network reliability goes, it is very neck-and-neck now,” he said. “People drop and rise, but at the end of the day, Sprint has everybody beat when it comes to overall value.”

A special customer stopped by the store to switch from Verizon: Gurrola’s mother. According to Gurrola, she received $100 per line and became part of the store’s festivities.

“She made out pretty good this morning, and she is definitely happy,” he said. “We had some candy and some balloons to spice the place up a little bit.”

The Merrillville location is one of Sprint’s newest. Gurrola made sure to express his gratitude toward the faithful customers.

“We would not be able to be here without them,” he said. “Days like this are definitely reserved to say thank you to them.”
