Savings of up to $17,500 possible on 2016, 2017 all-electric models
South Shore Clean Cities (SSCC) and Nissan have teamed up to offer a generous discount on the Nissan LEAF, representatives said Wednesday. Through March 31, 2017, Nissan will offer Northern Indiana Public Services Company (NIPSCO*) employees and qualifying customers a special price on its 2016 and 2017 Nissan LEAFs.
"We're a proud home of the Nissan Leaf and we're excited to see more of these fuel efficient vehicles out on the road," said Kevin Green of Southlake Nissan. "These cars can average over 100 miles per gallon and really can help reduce emissions here in Northwest Indiana. Anyone looking for a new car should come in for a test drive today to take one for a spin!"
Nissan has partnered with SSCC to extend a special incentive of $10,000 off the MSRP to all eligible NIPSCO employees and customers who purchase a LEAF from a LEAF-certified Nissan dealer. After the sale, customers can apply for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500.
The Nissan LEAF is America’s best-selling electric car. The LEAF is 100 percent electric and uses no gasoline. As a result, it runs with no tailpipe, no fumes and zero emissions. Manufactured completely in Smyrna, Tennessee, the LEAF features an available best-in-class 107-mile range, with seamless acceleration. LEAFs drive almost three times further than the average driver’s daily needs, making it an ideal electric vehicle choice for everyday commutes.
