South Shore Line announces monthly ticket update for May

The South Shore Line (SSL) announces that all monthly tickets purchased for the month of May will remain valid throughout June 2020. With the extension of Illinois' stay-at-home order until May 30, SSL understands that passengers may continue to have differing travel schedules throughout the next few months.

Passengers purchasing a paper May paper monthly ticket should plan to keep that ticket and use it through June, and passengers purchasing a digital May monthly ticket via the mobile app will see a June ticket uploaded to their accounts prior to June 1.

For passengers who receive tickets through an employer benefit program such as Wage Works and Commuter Benefit Solutions, these passengers should not order their June tickets if they receive a May monthly ticket. If additional assistance or further clarification is needed, please contact SSL through the online contact form
at https://www.mysouthshoreline.com/contact.

At SSL, nothing is more important than the safety of passengers. For those passengers who are currently riding with SSL or who will be returning to the service once the stay- at-home order has been lifted, the SSL is doing all they can to keep riders safe. State- of-the-art procedures have been executed in order to ensure sanitization and ease the minds of commuters.

SSL continues to monitor direction provided by the CDC and Indiana and Illinois officials as it pertains to the stay-at-home order. SSL thanks passengers for their patience and cooperation during this time.

The South Shore Line is a commuter rail line operated by the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) between Millennium Station in downtown Chicago and the South Bend International Airport in South Bend, Indiana.
