Something New is Brewing at the Michigan City Mainstreet Association, Announcing the Inaugural Shelf Ice Brew Fest

Shelf-Ice-Poster-FinalThe first ever Shelf Ice Brew Fest will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 1-5pm, (VIP entry at noon), located outdoors on Franklin Street between 6th and 8th Streets to highlight the best brew masters in the region.

Hoosier and Michigan microbreweries will be pouring their deliciously brewed concoctions to please every palate. Over 20 Breweries have signed on to date and more to come, including Shoreline, Burn ‘Em Brewing, Greenbush, Sun King, Mad Anthony, Evil Czech, Four Fathers, Founders, Back Road, Triton, Outliers, Function, Bell’s, Figure 8, Upland, 18th Street, Ironwood, Hunters, Scarlet Lane, Peoples, Crown, Brugge Brasserie, Stone & Carson’s. All event proceeds benefit the Michigan City Mainstreet Association, a not-for-profit whose purpose is rejuvenating the Uptown Arts District in Michigan City, Indiana.

Attendees can expect to sample hundreds of brews, enjoy artisan foods, view chainsaw wielding ice carvers, all under the dazzling display of lights on Franklin Street. Food will be provided by Green Machine, Pickle & Turnip, Miller’s Pizza, Pines Lounge, Hungry, Inc., Arturo’s Baked Goods, Cool Running’s, Crawford’s and LeRoy’s Hot Stuff. Ticket price does not include food, so bring some cash for the vendors.

Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for $ 35.00 general admission or $ 55.00 VIP online at the official website www.shelficebrewfest.com or at Shoreline Brewery in Michigan City. There are a limited amount of tickets available, so get your tickets early. All tickets include a special pint glass and unlimited sampling of all available brews throughout the event. VIP tickets offer early admission and a special stocking cap. General admission tickets will be available at the door at a premium, VIP tickets must be purchased in advance.
