Danielle Volkman will be offering a series of Saturday afternoon children's art classes from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Chesterton Art Center. Classes are designed for kids ages 8-12, and cost $20 for members, $25 for non-members. All supplies are included.
On September 6, Danielle will teach Chalk Pastel Techniques and Still-Lifes, showing students additional techniques with pastels. Sketching and Sketches will be offered on September 13. Participants will work on capturing an image in minimal lines. On September 20, Simple Jewelry will be offered, giving students the basic skills for creating bracelets, necklaces and earrings.
Danielle will host a special 2-part class titled Hand-Building and Coil Pots on September 27 and October 4. Students will create coil pots on the 27th and glaze them on the 4th.
