The Board of Trustees of Lake Area United Way recently accepted the retirement notice of their President and CEO, Lou Martinez. Martinez has been on staff at Lake Area United Way since May of 1979 and has served as the organization’s President since 1995.
A diverse committee of both current and former board members as well as long-time supporters of United Way has been empaneled to the search process committee. The Board has contracted with Organizational Development Solutions (ODS) to facilitate the nationwide search.
“Lou is an active and respected leader within the Northwest Indiana community. We want to make sure we select the right candidate that can continue the organization’s path of success. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the needs of Lake County’s residents, as well as the region’s business climate” said Aaron McDermott, search committee chair. “We hope to name his successor within the next six months.” he added.
The position will be posted in the classified section of The Times of Northwest Indiana, as well as on Career Builder. All inquiries and resumes are to be directed to Desila Rosetti, President of ODS. Email to email@example.com or phone (219) 395-9564.
