SCOTT_MUNDELL_JOINS_DUNELAND_FAMILY_YMCA-1---2018-07-23_14_17_44Please join the Duneland Family YMCA in welcoming Scott Mundell as a member of its Board of Directors. Scott is the Director of Business Development for Franciscan Alliance’s five northern Indiana hospitals. He’s been employed at Franciscan Alliance for 22 years and has spent his entire career in the health care field. Scott was born and raised in Merrillville. He graduated from Indiana University Bloomington and went on to receive an MBA from IUN and an MHA from the University of St. Francis. Mundell resides in Valparaiso. He has two daughters, Alison and Haley.

For the past decade Scott has been volunteering to help others in the Duneland communities. He’s worked with Rebuilding Together Duneland for several years, serving as Treasurer. He was a member of the Duneland Chamber Board, and Board Chair in 2014. Mundell has also been a Chesterton High School volunteer assistant wrestling coach for the past two years.

Mundell says he got to see what a great organization the Duneland YMCA is while working with Y CEO Dave Kasarda and the Y Board of Directors on the collaborative relationship between the YMCA and Franciscan Alliance. “The Duneland Family YMCA offers programs for people of all ages and makes them accessible to everyone. It’s an organization that already does so much for the community, and is looking to do even more,” he said. “I really wanted to be a part of something that does so much good for the community.”
