Rescued Cat Receives Help from Laser Treatments at Vale Park

A beautiful long-hair ragdoll cat came into our local shelter. She had spent her 5 years of life in a basement. She was so anxiety ridden that she was living under a blanket. I took her home to socialize her, so that she could be adopted.

In addition to extreme anxiety, Mocha Latte was experiencing an ongoing series of bladder infections. She was also diagnosed with chronic cystitis and had extreme constipation. Medications for the bladder infection and cystitis were partially helpful but were not providing a long term cure. Nothing seemed to help the constipation.

I decided to take Mocha to Dr. Kim Juhlin at Vale Park Animal Hospital, she practices holistic medicine. A series of therapeutic laser treatments immediately improved Mocha’s condition---fewer bladder infections, good control of the cystitis. Use of an herb called San Ren Tang (Three Seeds Combination) greatly reduced her anxiety and resolved the constipation. The laser treatments were repeated occasionally when a “flare-up” would occur, her condition continually improved over time. Mocha has not required laser treatment in more than a year and is a happy, active kitty who is grateful for her holistic opportunities.
