Recovered Dog Determined to Find Forever Home

Recovered-Dog-Determined-to-Find-Forever-Home-01a Letting nothing hold him back, day after day, Lowrider continues to love life and spread his joy through others. Now, he’s on the search for his forever home.

Lowrider was brought into the Humane Society Calumet Area as a stray by Dyer Animal Control. He had two large tumors and his tongue hangs out on the side of his mouth. Behavioral manager Rhonda Aguilera fostered him until his recent surgery to remove the two tumors. “I just wanted to make him as comfortable as possible,” said Aguilera.

Lowrider wants to be able to run around and enjoy life like many other dogs. He knows he’s a little different, but that doesn’t stop him.

He loves people and getting a lot of attention from them. He knows how to sit and enjoys playing with his toys. All he needs is a family to take care of him and give him a lot of love.

“He’s goofy and super friendly. He loves laying on someone’s couch and getting attention,” said Jenna Jones, behavioral worker.

“I love seeing major improvements in animals due to the work I have put in. It is truly amazing and one of the best feelings ever,” said Aguilera.

Lowrider is extremely affectionate and loves to give sloppy kisses. He’s currently available for adoption at the Humane Society Calumet Area.

“The best feeling is seeing the dogs get adopted and going home to a loving family. I hope Lowrider will get to experience that. Now is his time,” said Jones.
