This year’s Christmas in September Day will be in the Cedar Lake area. On Saturday, September 20th, our volunteers will paint, repair and perform needed maintenance for thirteen limited in- come homeowners, often senior citizens or disabled, living in and around Cedar Lake. In a single day, we are able to transform the homes and lives of these needy homeowners

This event is open to the public. RT of Southlake County welcomes volunteers, both skilled and unskilled, to take part in the day by coming to the Cedar Lake Town Hall between 7:00 and 7:30AM. At this time volunteers will be assigned a project location based on their skill-level, and provided a free t-shirt plus continental breakfast. All projects are scheduled to be complete by mid-to-late afternoon. Lunch will also be provided.

This year 10 homes have been selected for repairs, which will total nearly $20,000 from volunteer donations. The house locations are as follows: 12705 Cline Ave; 7423 W. 136th Ct.; 7125 W. 127th Pl.; 8600 W. 132nd Ave.; 8809 W. 132nd Ave.; 6702 W. 145th Ave.; 14210 Lauerman St.; 8901 W. 142nd Pl.; 9215 W. 142nd Ave.; 8006 W. 147th Ave. We kindly ask that you do not pub- lish these address, but have been provided if you choose to visit these sites.
