RCS Home Healthcare Services invites referral sources to meet “The Heart of RCS”

In a unique event bringing RCS staff and referral sources together for an evening of food, drinks and mingling, referral sources were able to meet the full gamut of team members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create the exceptional RCS Home Healthcare experience.

“The Heart of RCS” introduced referral sources to RCS team members whom they wouldn’t typically see on a daily basis.

“There are so many dynamics to providing home health services. From the marketing staff, office staff, admissions, social workers, billers, clinicians - all of us work to provide excellent patient care,” said Donna Brandy, RCS Director of Marketing. “But we know that our referral sources don’t always get to meet the amazing team that is behind the care we provide. We wanted to host ‘The Heart of RCS’ to help them put faces to names, and show that we have an entire team working together.”

Since 1987, RCS has continued to expand and provide highly-skilled, compassionate healthcare services to their patients. After becoming the Director of Nursing seven months ago, Betsy Keefover’s first order of business was to create a team of clinicians who went above and beyond to ensure RCS patients receive the best care possible.

“I am fortunate to have such a compassionate and dedicated team of clinicians,” Keefover said.

“Our team is a huge part of what sets us apart from other home health agencies. We wanted to make sure that the people who are referring patients to us have an opportunity to meet our team and see for themselves,” Brandy said.

Those who attended “The Heart of RCS” appreciated the effort.

“The staff are very empathetic, they’re caring, and they always want to have the best outcome for their patients,” said Colleen O’Connor, Director of Case Management at Vibra Hospitals. O’Connor added that she appreciates how the RCS team is closely connected with specialty services in the area - such as wound care specialists, dentists, and others - so they can refer patients to the care outside of the home setting when necessary.

Tina Barron, a relatively new member of the RCS marketing team, said she received a warm welcome when she joined the company in November.
