Business people could strengthen their ability to complete operational tasks on a flexible schedule through a subscription program offered at the Purdue Technology Center of Northwest Indiana.
The co-working space program provides more than 1,000 square feet of common area workspace in the technology center, 9800 Connecticut Drive, Crown Point. Kathy J. DeGuilio-Fox, director of the center, said subscribers benefit by having access to workspace, meeting rooms and business amenities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
"Sometimes professionals don't need an office each day and all day, but they want space to meet and collaborate with others, or to use a business center or conference rooms, or to establish a well-recognized, professional and secure business address," she said. "These are available upon request through the co-working space program, along with mail and shipping services and a receptionist during standard business hours."
Mary M. Hills, Principal, at Chicago-based HeimannHills Marketing Group, said the co-working space program combines professional development and social programming at the technology center.
"I have attended many Tech Talk networking events, the technology roadshow where Purdue-created innovations are showcased for commercialization and other professional development seminars at the center the past year," she said. "This level of professionalism and the entrepreneurial programming are good fits for HeimannHills Marketing Group."
DeGuilio-Fox said subscribers become part of an established community of creative, entrepreneurial individuals at the center.
"Subscribers could be entrepreneurs of any kind: young or old, high-tech or low-tech, corporate or early-stage startup. Anyone who travels in the northwest Indiana region and needs access to business amenities can benefit by using the co-working space," she said.
The annual subscription cost is $300, after a $99 set-up fee.
