Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) is proud to announce the debut of three new debit card designs. The three designs are meant to further increase flexibility and allow our members to carry cards that they are proud of. The Vintage Pete design which will allow members to show off their Purdue Pride as they shop around town. This card is also a vertical design rather than the traditional horizontal design. The new Geometric card is a horizontal card designed to showcase Purdue Federal’s unique and ever-changing brand. Lastly, a new high school debit card design highlights Delphi High School and their mascot, the Oracles. This card was drawn by Delphi High School student Josiah Hart, and his design was chosen by public vote out of the top designs.
The Vintage Pete card is the culmination of hard work between Purdue Federal and University Bookstore, who owns the Vintage Pete logo. University Bookstore General Manager, Jeff Sieber, is excited to see the logo being used in new ways and is grateful for the relationship with Purdue Federal. “Knowing the enormous amount of comradery and nostalgia this card will bring to all associated with Purdue University, whether you’re in West Lafayette or New York City, really made this project special for us. We can’t thank Purdue Federal enough for honoring our Vintage Pete in such a distinguished manner and for bringing a smile to every Purdue Federal, University Book Store and Boilermaker fan across the country,” Seiber said.
Purdue Federal presented University Bookstore plaques as a token of appreciation. There will be a plaque displayed at each of their two locations on Purdue’s campus.
These debit card designs will replace the current Purdue Arch card design and other current debit card designs. The new Delphi card is an addition to the other local high school cards that Purdue Federal offers.
