Purdue University Calumet’s Educational Talent Search program is hosting an open house to engage qualified prospective students and their families about college readiness, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday March 7 in the university’s Student Union & Library, Room 321.
Educational Talent Search is a federally funded program that identifies and assists individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have potential to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career and financial counseling to participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and go on to complete postsecondary education.
The open house is designed to provide a venue for communication and rapport-building with prospective college students and their families.
The open house will include an overview of the program’s planned activities, breakout sessions, opportunities to network with outreach counselors, and information about connecting with campus and community resources to advance student success.
Additional information is available by contacting Purdue Calumet Director of Educational Talent Search Jimmie Sanders (firstname.lastname@example.org; 219/989-2460).
