Kaitlin Doud went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a two-run home run, three RBI and a stolen base as visiting Portage routed Merrillville on Monday. Sydney Coundiff added two hits with a double and an RBI for the Lady Indians (21-6, 10-3 DAC).
On the mound, Kiley Jones threw a one-hit shutout, striking out 12.

Amanda Music had two doubles and Ashley Music one in game one. Cara Nebel hit an inside-the-park home run in game two.
Munster 4, Valparaiso 1 (Girls Tennis)
Nikki Heiniger was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 1 singles for the Lady Mustangs. Jessica Roth added a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles for Munster.
The No. 1 doubles team of Brooke Sever and Melissa Tepperman gave Valpo their lone victory on Monday, 6-4, 6-2.
Portage 15, Whiting 1 (Baseball)
Chris Klenk (3-for-4) crossed the plate four times and added two RBI and a triple for the Indians. Jacob Dickson picked up the win on the mound, allowing two hits in four innings of work.

Kody McGuire drove in three runs for the Indians.

Emily Sajda won at No. 2 singles (6-4, 6-2) for Portage (14-7). Patty Mota and Haley Mergl gave the Lady Indians a win at No. 2 doubles, 7-5, 6-4.
