Ghouls and goblins of all ages had a great time at the Porter Park Department Boo Bash Halloween Party at Hawthorne Park this past Sunday afternoon. Attendees to this family-friendly event had plenty of activities to choose from, including a craft and coloring table, Halloween-themed games, a chance to decorate their own donut, and a costume contest. Those souls brave enough to enter the witch’s haunted kitchen were offered the chance to touch some items from her spooky spells like zombie skin (oiled lasagna noodles) and vampire hearts (whole stewed tomatos). Boo Bash is a free community event brought to you by the Town of Porter Park Department with help from the following sponsors: Family Express Corporation, Chesterton Strack & VanTil, Valparaiso Wal-Mart, the Duneland Seniors, the Lakeshore Drifters 4-H Club, Reprographic Arts, and the Albanese Confectionery Group.
