The Portage High School girls and boys swim teams defeated Merrillville on Tuesday night. The girls won 113-67, while the boys team earned a 143-39 victory.
First place finishes for the girls included Jordan Parker, Laryssa Vaclavik, Courtney Joseph, Rachael Joseph, Nancy Michko, Hannah Brown, Hailey Servaty, Ali Sobkowski and Morgan Knight.
First place finishes on the boys side were by John Fannin, Nick Eftenoff, Matt Extin, Mikee Janes, Jason Taylor, Pat Sobkowski, Brandon Reyes and Louis Coleman.
