Portage, IN Welcomes McColly Real Estate’s New Office with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!

Every realtor knows the three most important words when it comes to finding the perfect property—location, location, location—so when one of the Portage locations of McColly Real Estate saw the opportunity to relocate to an office in a prime area off of Route 6 in Portage, Ind., the decision was clear.

Portage Managing Broker George Kepchar, Jr. has been in the real estate industry through a multitude of market climates. For him, the new location means he can continue to mentor and expand the office to better serve the Portage community and surrounding areas.

“I’ve managed the Portage offices for Ron McColly for the last 20 years, and I have to say I'm very proud of our team,” Kepchar said. “We're proud that McColly is number one in Portage for market share, and we want to keep that status. We have to grow to keep it, and we're growing with wonderful people.”

Assistant Managing Broker Diana Smoot has similar feelings of excitement for the new office.

“We're excited to be here, and I love the buzz around it. It’s exciting to be able to tell everyone that we are in a brand new space in a great location with plenty of room for growth,” Smoot said.

McColly is especially proud to be able to provide space for representatives of Community Title Company. The onsite conference rooms allow space for convenient closings for both sides of the deal.

“We have a lot of agents spread out across the area, so if any of them have a listing around here and want to close in Portage, we have a full set up and can do the transaction in this office,” Escrow and Sales Officer Holly Kunze said.

The beginning of this new chapter was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a champagne toast with brokers, corporate employees, Portage Mayor Sue Lynch, members of the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce and affiliated businesses in attendance. Guests were able to reconnect with past and present colleagues while celebrating the hard work and dedication that goes into the growth of the McColly legacy.

The expansion of a company as community-oriented as McColly is a sign of prosperity within the City of Portage as well. Mayor Sue Lynch was more than happy to stand beside Kepchar as he officially commemorated a new beginning for McColly by cutting a ceremonial ribbon outside of the new office.

“We have worked for them and they are working for us. Their office is absolutely spectacular. They are growing about as fast as Portage is growing, so they needed to get out of the smaller building. We have a lot of opportunities here, and there are all kinds of opportunities for them,” Lynch said.

The community support of McColly is largely due to the work of the managers and brokers that continue to deliver excellent service to clients in the area.

“This is made possible because of the outstanding agents you see here today. I have to thank the management of the Portage office as well. Their commitment to providing the highest service to this community really makes us all proud at McColly. Thank you to the community for giving us the opportunity to serve them. You are the reason we are here,” McColly President Tracy Parus said.
