Polish Heritage Association 2017 Scholarship Essay Contest

Pol-Am-Cultural-Soc-NWIThe competition is open to high-school seniors and to full-time undergraduate students (no age limit) who reside in the Northwest Indiana of Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Starke, Jasper, Newton, and St. Joseph counties.

Contestants need not be of Polish descent; qualified students of all ethnic background are welcome to participate.

The theme is "Polish Heritage and What It Means to Me."

The essay should combine formal research and personal experience. Researched material - including information obtained from the Internet - must be properly documented. Any essay containing plagiarized material will be automatically disqualified. The essay should be a minimum of 1,000 words.

Scholarship prizes will be awarded in denominations of $1,000 and $500. The deadline for essay submissions is May 3rd, 2017.
