PNW Men’s Cross Country Travels to GLIAC Championships on November 3, 2018

PNW-Mens-Cross-Country-Travels-to-GLIAC-Championships-2018 The Purdue University Northwest men's cross country team will look to end their season on a high note as they compete at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Saturday.

The race will start at 10 a.m. CT and take place at Calvin College near the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids, Mich. The complex is located at 1661 E Paris Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.

LAST TIME OUT The Purdue Northwest men's cross country team finished third Saturday in the inaugural Warrior Challenge, hosted by Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Wayne State at Willow Metro Park. Freshman Antonio Chapa (Portage, Ind./Portage) was the high finisher for the Pride, as he finished with a 26:19, good enough for tenth. Wayne State captured the individual title in the inaugural edition of the Warrior Classic.

Michael Crook (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) was next for PNW as he finished in 14th with a 26:38.2. Sophomore Adam Jospeh (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) came in just behind Crook with a 26:39 for 15th place.

Next up for the Pride was junior Chris Ramos (Hobart, Ind./River Forest), whose time of 27:20.3 was good enough for 31st place overall. Diego Gomez (Hobart, Ind./Hobart) rounded out the black and gold's top 50 finishers with a time 27:49.2, good enough for 48th place.

PNW had three runners finish within a second of each other, as Cristian Zendejas (Highland, Ind./Highland), Cameron Chapman (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township), and Fernando Rosas (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) ended up in 51st, 52nd, and 53rd place respectively.

Also competing for the Pride were Robert Corning (Lowell, Ind./Lowell), Mark Peters (Beecher, Ill./Beecher), Alexander Morales (Ibarra, Ecuador/Unidad Educativa), and Brandon Davis (St. John, Ind./Hanover Central).
