The Portage High School varsity girls basketball team fell for the first time this season Friday night, dropping a 40-35 decision at Lowell.
Kaitlin Dowd had a season-high 15 points for the Lady Indians, who fell to 2-1 on the season.
Kaitlyn Steers scored 11 and Alexis Johnson added eight for Portage.
The Portage junior varsity team was able to remain undefeated, earning a 35-28 road victory. Emma Havrilla led the team with eight points and Kaitlyn Shafer had seven.
