Peifer Elementary School Digital Day

Peifer Elementary School Digital Day

On Feb. 25, Mrs. Zolfo's second-grade class completed a "digital day," where they used a website called Wonderopolis to learn about various topics. The students were able to choose their own topic to learn about so that they would be interested in it.

"It was nice to do something different; digital learning is different than what we do every day. Wonderopolis is a different modality for us to help teach the kids with. The website has hundreds of different topics," Zolfo said.

Since there were so many different topics chosen, from animals to sports, students compiled fun facts and photos into a shared slideshow. They later presented the slideshow so that people could learn about others' facts.

"I would definitely do it again. It's motivating for the kids and for me, and it has been so great to have our tech consultant Beth Hamacher's expertise in the classroom," Zolfo said.
