If you missed the first Kids & Canvas back in September, than mark your calendar for Sunday, November 9th when the popular program comes back to the Community Center at Hawthorne Park. Bring your budding artist by themselves, or with a group of friends to join us for this fun guided class targeted at all skill levels. The class for ages 5-9 runs from 2-3 p.m. with an $8 participation fee. The class for ages 10-16 runs from 3:30-5 p.m. with a $10 participation fee. The Town of Porter Park Department would not be able to offer so many great activities and events throughout the year without the help of several amazing volunteers. In an effort to thank all of the wonderful folks that help the department bring the community great events, the Park Department will be hosting an Ice Cream Party on Sunday, November 23rd from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the Community Center in Hawthorne Park. All 2014 volunteers and their families are welcome to attend this sweet event!
The regular last Wednesday of the month Acrylic Painting class will take place on November 26th from 3:00pm-5:00pm at the Community Center in Hawthorne Park. The $10 fee for this class includes a painting surface, all supplies, and two hours of guided instruction. To register please call Becky at 219-734-0203.
