Join us for Whiting's Paint the Town Pink 3rd Annual Fun Run/Walk. This 5k begins at the award winning Oil City Stadium pavillion and follows the scenic bike path that connects the city of Whiting to the city of Hammond. Afterwards, enjoy snacks, water and music by DJ Donnie. We will also provide free health screening, courtesy of St Catherine Hopsital. This 5K is part of a month long event, sponsored by the City of Whiting and St Catherine Hopsital, which raises money for the Cancer Resource Centre in Munster. The Centre provides support and resources to women and men, along with their families, who are diagnosed with breast cancer. After the 5K, enjoy a stroll down 119th St, our downtown business district, and take in the pink storefronts, street signs and lights.
