Jack DeHaven, wealth advisor for Oak Partners, believes an event like this is one of the best ways for people to connect with one another.

“This event is what we pretty much call our client advocacy brunch,” DeHaven said. “We want to show our appreciation and thank all of the clients who have referred friends or family to us. We’ve done different iterations of this around the holiday between dinners and sending out gifts, but we love seeing them in person. We wanted to do something different this year that could appeal to a bigger crowd as well.”

As the countdown to Christmas inches closer, Oak Partners has made it a point of emphasis to spread some holiday cheer with their clients and staff members in preparation.

“We love to embrace the holiday season,” DeHaven said. “We do a toy drive for kids and our clients are phenomenal. A lot of them brought in toys to our Crown Point office and some even came to this brunch event with them. The fact that we can give back and have some Christmas flair at the end of the year is what makes this a fun gathering for everybody involved.”

These events are an important part of the Oak Partners family and allows the team to build strong relationships with one another. Steve Kavois, wealth manager, considers this to be a heartwarming event to see everyone in the same space for the season of giving.

“It’s nice to get our clients all together in a more festive setting that’s relaxed,” Kavois said. “A lot of our events are focused on economic updates and rural markets. It’s been a pretty good year and we’re glad to honor it with this holiday brunch.”

This has also been another great year for the overall growth of Oak Partners.

“As we keep growing the firm and adding new advisors so that we can maintain that personal touch with clients, we keep finding that our events continue to grow,” Kavois said. “We’re having to create larger events or multiple smaller events for everyone to attend. It says a lot about the people we have supporting Oak Partners.”

Not only is this an event to celebrate the Oak Partners family during the holiday season, but the event is also one of its last gatherings on the schedule for 2024. As the next calendar year is around the corner, there will be plenty of events that people can look forward to.

“This is a great culmination of all the great things that we’ve done this year,” DeHaven said. “We’re planning to do a lot of traditional events when we get to 2025. We have our kickoff event to open the year and March Madness as well. Last year was the first time we did a Sunset Social, so we might look to do something similar to that once again. We’re also going to try to implement a few new events that people will be excited for.”

Santa Claus made an appearance during the brunch celebration. He took pictures and gave candy canes to everybody in attendance.
