Northwest Health recently welcomed board-certified hematologist/oncologist, Mohamad Khasawneh, MD, to Northwest Medical Group. Dr. Khasawneh joined the practice of Tareq Braik, MD, and Mary Klein, MD, at Northwest Medical Group – Hematology & Oncology. Dr. Khasawneh will be seeing patients in the medical plaza adjacent to Northwest Health – Porter hospital located at 85 East US Hwy. 6 in Valparaiso.
Dr. Khasawneh completed a fellowship in hematology-oncology at State University of New York in Buffalo, New York and a fellowship in experimental therapeutics at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and received his medical degree from Jordan University of Science & Technology in Ar-Ramtha, Jordan.

Dr. Khasawneh treats all types of cancers and has a special interest in immunotherapy, breast cancer, lung and gastrointestinal malignancies, and benign and malignant blood disorders.
