Northwest Health welcomes triple board-certified cardiologist, Khalid Al-Khafaji, M.D., FACC, to Northwest Medical Group. Dr. Al-Khafaji will be seeing patients in the medical offices adjacent to Northwest Health – La Porte hospital at 1331 State St. in La Porte.
Dr. Al-Khafaji completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease and a residency in internal medicine at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in Chicago. He received his medical degree from University of Al-Mustansiriyah, College of Medicine in Baghdad, Iraq.

Dr. Al-Khafaji has a special interest in preventive cardiology, cardiac computed tomography (CT) and echocardiography. He will offer treatment for a wide range of conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease and cardio-oncology.
