If so, join neurologist Asia Filatov, MD, M.B.A. to learn more about unlocking the science of sleep and how to establish a good sleep routine at Northwest Health’s next HealthyU wellness seminar. The free event entitled Sweet Dreams: Why Good Sleep Matters will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in the Community Room at Northwest Health – Porter located 85 E. U.S. Hwy. 6 in Valparaiso.
Dr. Filatov’s presentation will include:
- How sleep affects your immune system, appetite, breathing, blood pressure and cardiovascular health;
- How lack of sleep increases your risk for obesity, influences your mood and puts you at greater risk for developing depression; and
- The two most common sleep disorders – insomnia and sleep apnea.
There will be a question and answer session at the end of the talk.
