Amy Ruiz represents NorthShore Health Centers in Portage, IN. As chairman for CKF (Covering Kids and Families of Lake County), Amy helps advocate and enroll uninsured families into the Indiana state coverage program, Hoosier Indiana Plan and Hoosier Health Wise.
Amy is also the co-chairman for Reach Out Alcance, whose goal is to make the processes easier for pregnant Hispanic women to enroll for insurance during their pregnancy.
NorthShore Health Centers actively works to provide great healthcare to the community through a variety of outreach and inreach programs. Through outreach programs, NorthShore helps enroll adults and children in Medicaid and the state coverage program. NorthShore also attends health fairs in Lake and Porter County, and educates the area about NorthShore services. Northshore has a program that helps pregnant women enroll in Medicaid during their pregnancy and does home visits for women who have had babies through NorthShore.
