NorthShore Health Center is a not-for-profit community based health and education center providing medical, dental and eye care services to everyone including the uninsured and underinsured community of Northwest Indiana. Our mission is to ensure that each individual has a medical home and access to the highest quality healthcare, regardless of gender, age, race, social or cultural standing and/or ability to pay.
Over the past few years, NorthShore has expanded their community involvement to benefit the health of the areas they serve. Each year NorthShore participates in national events such as Give Kids A Smile, Women’s Health Week, and Men’s Health Week offering discounted medical and dental services for men, women and children. They also offer discounted services in July and August for their Back to School Fair, October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and November for National Diabetic Month. The Easter Eggstravaganza is another way NorthShore can provide families in the community with a safe, fun place to bring their children and enjoy themselves but also remind them about the importance of their health and scheduling their preventative medical appointments.
NorthShore Health Centers’ other services include Family Practice, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Behavioral Health, Radiology, Urgent Care, Dental and Eye Care. Our medical centers accept most major insurance plans, but we also offer an affordable self-pay option for anyone who is uninsured. NorthShore is also an enrollment site for Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act/Health Insurance Marketplace. By offering a wide range of coordinated services, we able to continuously work towards our goal of providing accessible health care and illness prevention and education to improve the overall health of our patients and community.
