NorthShore Health Center is a not-for-profit community based health and education center providing healthcare and dental services to everyone including the uninsured and underinsured community of Northwest Indiana. Our mission is to ensure that each individual has a medical home and access to the highest quality healthcare, regardless of gender, age, race, social or cultural standing and/or ability to pay.
NorthShore Health Centers’ services include Family Practice, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Behavioral Health, Radiology, Urgent Care, Dental and Eye Care. Our medical centers accept most major insurance plans, but we also offer an affordable self-pay option for anyone who is uninsured. NorthShore is also an enrollment site for Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act/Health Insurance Marketplace. By offering a wide range of coordinated services, we able to continuously work towards our goal of providing accessible health care and illness prevention and education to improve the overall health of our patients and community.

The Portage Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Portage area. Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.
