NITCO Celebrates Valpo University’s Military Night With Special Guest Jim Cornelison

The lovely folks of NITCO enjoyed some time well spent together before the men’s basketball game at Valparaiso University. They were able to catch up, grab some food together, and relax.

“We’ve been doing this with Valpo University for two years. They have such a wonderful atmosphere here and just the right kind of attitude,” said NITCO CEO Tom Carroll.

“NITCO is really proud to sponsor their men's basketball program. We have a lot in common. Part of it has to do with winning, which NITCO loves to do and so do the Crusaders. It also has to do with doing the right thing, and it has to do with doing a great product on the court, which the crusaders do, just like NITCO puts a great product on the ground for everybody's voice and the internet and soon to be television!”

Before the game, Jim Cornelison, who performs at Blackhawks games, performed the Star Spangled Banner. One of the wonderful veterans part of the NITCO team presented the ball to the referee's before the game as well.

The stands were filled with a sea of yellow and camo, celebrating Valpo University and Military Night. The student section jumped up and down and sang. The cheerleaders had many opportunities and reasons to cheer.

The relationship between NITCO and Valpo U is relatively new as well as important. They go back to 2015 and really look forward to the future.

Community events of this magnitude would not be possible without the kind of support that NITCO provides.

“NITCO is a wonderful partner. They support us, and we support them by connecting them with our student’s. It’s been a wonderful night for them, and we’re excited to have them. Our student-athletes depend on support like theirs. It’s so important to have that.” said Anne Van Keppel, Associate Athletic Director at Valpo University.

NITCO would like to remind everyone that they'll be doing a soft rollout of television service within the next few months and that more announcements will be made soon.

There's a good chance that Carroll will be in the dunk tank again this year at Customer Appreciate Day in August! More information about that in the future as well.
