IndianaChamberLogo-3CThree business leaders from Northwest Indiana have been named to the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Joining the more than 100 Indiana Chamber board members who are presidents, CEOs and high-level executives from organizations throughout the state, are:

Gerri Davis-Parker, president and CEO, Truck City (Gary);

Violet Sistovaris, executive vice president, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) (Merrillville); and

George Uzelac, president, Uzelac & Associates (Valparaiso).

The Indiana Chamber is dedicated to providing member companies with numerous cost-saving benefits and timely information that will enable them to grow their businesses. The organization partners with 24,000 members and investors, representing over four million Hoosiers.

The Indiana Chamber’s board plays a vital role in developing all aspects of the organization’s business advocacy efforts. Members serve on various committees that research key topics and define policy positions for adoption by the entire board each fall. These positions are used by the Indiana Chamber’s advocacy team to initiate and evaluate legislation at the Statehouse and at the federal level.

“As we welcome new board members, we gain the experience of knowledgeable professionals and the dedication of Hoosiers from across the state,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar. “We are excited to welcome these voices from the northwestern part of the state to the board of directors and look forward to their input as we all work to promote economic prosperity and job growth in Indiana.”

Each will serve three-year terms as Indiana Chamber board members through fall 2018.
