Nov. 21-22 Vacant Land Repurposing Workshop 6:00p.m. This workshop will explore opportunities for applying SENCER principles to repurposing vacant land in the urban centers of the Great Lakes region. The conference will run from 1 PM on November 21 to noon on November 22. The program will feature panels of educators and community partners who are engaged in repurposing of vacant land and will provide opportunities to explore future collaborations. The workshop is sponsored by the SENCER Center for Innovation-Great Lakes and the Vacant to Vibrant Project of the Cleveland Botanical Garden.

Gun Buyback 8:00a.m. The Gary Police Department will host another Gun Buy Back on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 6 local churches from 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. In addition to receiving a Wal-Mart gift card for turning in weapons, the first 50 people will receive a GED testing voucher.
