St. John’s United Church, at 225 W Lincoln in Chesterton, will launch the new Sunday School program on Sunday, September 8th. Classes will be offered for all ages: 3-5-year-olds, K-5th grades, 6th-12th grades, and adults.
St. John's is pleased to announce this year the addition of a new Pre-K class (3-5) led by experienced Pre-K teachers. The K-5th class looks forward to welcoming a shepherd, providing special attention to the kids and assistance to the teacher.
The youth pastor will combine education with youth group fun. Snacks are a favorite feature. The building is currently undergoing a facelift, so look for some exciting changes if you have visited in the past.
The church is an accepting, diverse, compassionate family of faith, belonging to both the United Church of Christ and the Presbyterian Church (USA). Sunday School begins at 9:15 AM and worship at 10:30 AM. A picnic will immediately follow the service, to celebrate the start of Sunday School and share in fellowship with one another.
